Inspired from a photograph taken in March 2017, by Richard Moxley, looking out to the Gulf of Mexico from Anna Maria Island north of Sarasota.

The story behind the paintings. My husband and I enjoyed visiting Florida for a number of years and one of our favorite places to visit was Anna Marie’s Island. My husband was always snapping pictures and this was one of them. I was inspired to paint the sea grasses because of the rich background colours.
