Covid-19
Given the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for social distancing, the MAA executive has decided on the following course of action for our spring season. The Spring Show, scheduled for April 17-19 has been postponed. The date we are currently looking to book at the Curling Club is August 28-30. It will be reassessed in June and you will be notified. Keep your ticket if you have purchased it, however if you are unable to participate in August and wish to have it refunded, please contact the treasurer by using the following link:

The Manotick Art Association is excited to announce its annual Spring Show Inspirations Spring Show and Sale 2020.
The artists of the Manotick Art Association have been busy for the past few months creating new works of art in preparation for their annual Spring Show. Local artists will be displaying works in watercolour, oil, pastel, and acrylic, as well as photography.
The show will now open on the evening of Friday, August 28 at 6:30pm with a Vernissage. There will be music, wine and tasty morsels. This is always a very popular event, and at just $10, tickets will be going quickly. We have always sold out on the Friday evening. Instruction to purchase Vernissage tickets are included at the end of this blog.
Entry to the show is free on Saturday and Sunday, April 29 and 30 from 10:30am to 4:30pm. Part of the proceeds from the show will be donated to the Make-a-Wish Eastern Ontario. Come and hear Rick and friends play some smooth jazz on Saturday 1.30 pm until 3 pm.
The venue for the Spring Show and Sale is the Manotick Curling Centre, 5519 South River Dr., Manotick. There is plenty of free parking at the Centre and on the surrounding streets.
I will have a booth at the show with many of my latest pieces on display for sale. Several of the paintings are included below for your advanced viewing. The theme in 2020 includes the following characteristics:
